Happy (belated) Blog-o-versary to me
-
I just noticed that I passed by the one-year anniversary of the blog without noticing. My first entry was on August 12, 2004, and though it was back on the old “Heterodox-Orthodox” site, I think I still get to count it.Actually, I did notice that the anniversary was approaching. But I didn’t want to say anything on the day, because as I recall, several of the St. Barnabas kids made it to the one-year mark and the effort nearly killed their blog completely (ahem, E Rica and Sean), and at least one did die a bloggy death (ahem, Hannah ). I don’t consider myself a superstitious woman, but in this case I blame the astrological meaning of the moon’s influence over the cycles of Twelve-Month, together with specific highly scientific phenomena associated with the number one (see Scientific American, July 2001 “How the Numero Uno Pizza Chain Taunted Death”).
Anyway, it’s a genuine occasion, which means I have to bake brownies. Oh dear, how trying it is to be a slave to protocol.

Happy Blog-O-Versary! Enjoy the brownies!
Thanks! In the end, I chickened out and went for a couple slice-n-bake chocolate chip cookies. Still yummy, but a hint less guilt associated.
