Strange nothingness

  • What a strange day. Greg has been fighting technical difficulties all day long, so I’ve been evacuated away from the Severe Cuss Zone to the upstairs computer. (I’m joking about the cussing. Actually, when Greg is severely taxed he makes no noise whatsoever. Kind of like the serial killers in slasher movies. I’d rather he cussed — the silence is creepy. I’m afraid he’ll suddenly materialize next to me asking “Is it safe?”) (Let me know if you don’t get that reference. Here’s where it’s from. )

Meanwhile, my Mom and sister are looking out their window at wildfires and and my other sister and brother are looking out their window at floods.

Everyone is fine — (sigh of relief) — and Greg is even starting to see the light at the end of his server-crash tunnel — (major sigh of relief) — but it makes you appreciate how smoothly things usually go. Or something like that. I actually don’t have a big point to make to tie everything together. I just feel like it’s been a while since I’ve done any quality blogging, and I wanted to use my funny interval of time to good use.

Better finish up the last of the tea and hit the road, or else I won’t be able to pick up my car today.

Boy, this is really a lame-o blog entry. It’s my life and I’m bored.

(Oh, I almost forgot. Happy Saints’ Day to all the Ss. Peter and Paul churches out there. I wasn’t able to go to the feast, but I told Father to put in a good word for me. :-)

To quote something I saw written a long time ago: “I go about my business with the grim determination of killing snakes.”
