Checking in from Dalhart, Texas
-
I get to log this under the Travel Blogging category, since I’m writing this from the breakfast room of the Holiday Inn Express in Dalhart, Texas (travel tip: stay away from the sausage; double up on the cinnamon rolls).
Greg and I are driving his car from home to his new bachelor digs in Phoenix, after having spent a hectic week getting the house ready to sell, handling client needs, sorting out his new situation and whatnot. So … no time for blogging, worst luck. And there are things that popped into my head with that special “Hey! This would make a dandy blog entry” noise, (boink!) so it’s really the world’s loss.
But just a few words as my bagel gets cold and the summer crowd thins out to say that I’m not dead yet, and with a little luck, I’ll be able to send along some fool’s gold this week.
Just wish this sausage weren’t so gray and oily. Kind of takes all the joy out of life, you know what I mean?
