Me too!! Strictly food-wise, not having my yogurt has been the greatest challenge of Lent. I am glad I am not the only one :)

  • Well, I’m trying hard not to think much about the stuff I miss. But it isn’t yogurt — it’s cheese.

  • Um, yeah, I *so* needed to see that :)

For me, it is always, always, always cheese.

  • Just thought I’d start something. ;-)

Its the yogurt with the chunky barbeque pork bits at the bottom that I miss. :)

  • Meat-cheese– I miss them both! We were such great friends. I am trying to warm up to lentils and veggies– but I don’t think we’ll ever be good friends like meat and dairy!

I think that I have a date with a BK quad stacker during Bright week this year!

OK, now THAT was truly funny!

Best laugh I’ve had all week — and I needed it.
    Thanks!

  • Mama:
Oh yeah. Those are the dates that never get stood up. :-)

Out here in the heartland, it’s the smell of other people barbecuing that just undoes the guys.

I’m an omnivore. I miss meat and dairy.

All right, back to my soy milk. (sigh)

LOL! Yeah, I’m a “vegan once removed”… I only eat things that eat vegetables.

  • I was once at a dinner (military function, you understand) during Lent. When several of us discussed ordering a vegetable platter, one of the men there said, “Vegetables? Vegetables aren’t food. Vegetables are what food eats!”

Hi –C (hmmm… that sounds… nah, too obvious), I checked out your blog. No wonder the “BBQ pork” comment was your biggest laugh of the week. Former Minnesota Lutheran! What Garrison Keillor says is true! JK, LOL! Nice blog, really.

  • Ya know, I wasn’t doing too bad on food *until* I read the com box. WAAAaaaaa.…
