Global warming takes a wee nap

• Remem­ber that world­wide, unstop­pable tem­per­a­ture change that made Al Gore a genius and was all our fault? Well, … Dis­cov­ery says it might be tak­ing a break for a while.

  Accord­ing to a new study, global warm­ing may have hit a speed bump and could go into hid­ing for decades.

  Earth’s cli­mate con­tin­ues to con­found sci­en­tists. Fol­low­ing a 30-year trend of warm­ing, global tem­per­a­tures have flat­lined since 2001 despite ris­ing green­house gas con­cen­tra­tions, and a heat sur­plus that should have cranked up the plan­e­tary thermostat.

  So, the tem­per­a­tures went UP for 30 years and now they could go DOWN for 30 years. Huh. Almost as if nature knows more about its own course cor­rec­tion than we do. That is just so insulting!

  I could’ve told you this would happen.

  See, I got an elec­tric scooter last sum­mer and started com­mut­ing to work on it till it got too cold. And I plan to resume in a week or two when the weather warms up enough.

  So global warm­ing was bound to reverse itself now that I’m not dri­ving as much any­more.

  Cli­mate change.…now there’s a con­cept. Cli­mate changes??? Who­dathunk? It is the apoc­a­lypse du jour. Its unbe­liev­able that “intel­li­gent” peo­ple fall for this crap.
