So many chase dollars as treasure — and forget the priceless gift of time. Yet once all our money is gone, we CAN go out and earn more. Time, once spent, truly is irretrievable. I have, on occassion, found a $20 stuck in a pocket or drawer or a book. BONUS! But I have never one time opened up some drawer and said “Zowie! There’s that half hour I put away. I knew it was here somewhere!” Once it’s gone, it’s gone. We make jokes about “killing time” when really it’s the other way around.
I am soooo sorry I didn’t get your comment up earlier! I have been having a terrible time with spam, and by the time I was going to moderate all the new comments, 787 of them were spam and 1 was yours.
Love the idea of opening up a drawer and finding a spare half hour. that’d be cool!
